Wandering into the brightly sun lit park, he sat himself down on a park bench to pause in reflection. Children played all around, screaming and laughing in their innocence. The Ranting of Muses“Seriously, is this really necessary? It’s been two weeks.” Exasperation in her voice, she looked around the table at the rest of the gathered muses. A deafening howl sounded in answer from the last room down the hall. Followed closely was a ruckus as the beast trapped inside the room fought, in vain, to escape its prison.The Ranting of Muses
Rolling his eyes, Rev looked at the delicious red head and smirked. “Does that answer your question, Scarlett?” Her answer involved a finger and sticking out her tongue in a very childish manner, one not lost on its intended recipient. He simply laughed.

The Dissension of MusesThick silence permeated the room, suffocating any sort of comforting feeling. The ticking of grandfather clock in the corner, old and a few minutes slow, was the only thing that could be heard. The dying evening light, choked by the storm clouds gathering only served to increase the tension felt by both occupants in the room. True stepped in quietly and shut the heavy study door, the creaking hinges alerting his friend to his presence. Looking at TC’s down cast face, illuminated by the scant light filtering through the window he now stood at, he could see the worry and dejection, the slump of TC’s shoulders speaking volumes.The Dissension of Muses
